|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
This was the old Quaker burying ground at the Quaker meeting house at Newbegun Creek dating back to 1745 as referred to in the Quaker Minutes. The property adjoined the Trunk Bridge Swamp. The Newbegun Quaker Meeting house was laid down in 1845.
Many years after the Quaker meeting house was no longer there, this cemetery was still known/referred to as a Quaker burying ground, however non-Quaker burials were interred there.
This cemetery sits across the road from where old St. John's Episcopal Chapel used to be, but was not affiliated with St. John's Chapel.
