|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
Located in Paint Township, Somerset County, PA. From the intersection of Spruce Run Road (SR 4045) and Camp Drive (SR 1031), take Spruce Run road for 3/10 mile. Just past the sharp turn to the right, there is an old barn on the left side of the road. About 20 meters up the road past the barn is a dirt trail. Take the dirt trail behind the barn up the hill towards the top of the knoll. Just before the open field, the plot is in the tree line on the left side of the trail. This plot is on the other side of the open field/ knoll of, and about 150 meters southwest of the Seese-Weaver Cemetery.
NOTE: This plot is difficult to find but the stones are still in very good shape. There are also at least 6 unmarked fieldstones. It's been recorded that Christian Miller was the son of Abraham Miller, and died around 1856. The first fieldstone listed above could be that Christian. If it's the Christian who died in 1842, then his birth of 1770 would conflict with his father Abraham being born in 1766. If the person with the stone marked "C. Miller d-1855) is this Christian, son of Abraham, then the Christian C., died in 1842 must be someone totally different and remains a mystery as to his relationship. He could then be a possible brother to Abraham?
I was told that there was a dirt road in the 1800's that led from this plot over to the neighboring Pfeil Cemetery.
