|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
The cemetery is located on Route 9G about 2 miles north of the Village of Tivoli. According to Roger M Leonard, the author of "The Red Church", the cemetery is about 245 years old. About the church he said "it seems likely that the Red Church congregation had the present church built sometime about 1827". Eventually the Dutch Reformed Church no longer had a congregation and became a church building on the cemetery grounds. A cemetery associaton was formed in the 1860's to administer the cemetery and was formally incorporated in 1917. Apparently the association also took responsibility for the Old Red Church building which was rescued more then once from decay and restored. Pictures added to this site by Constance Andrews show the church building is once again being restored.
