|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
This cemetery is located just west of the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in the town of Lagro. This is one of the oldest cemeteries in Wabash County. Many laborers who died building the Wabash and Erie Canal lay in unknown graves in this cemetery. Until recently the cemetery was not taken care of. Many stones fell over the hillside into Largo Creek. The first recording was made by Mrs. Anna M. Harvey in 1976. The WJHS History Club also visited the cemetery in the same year. This cemetery listing and corrections were made from obituaries and death records from the Health department in 2001. The southwestern part of this cemetery was used by Catholics for burial until their own cemetery was laid out.
