The cemetery is bordered by a chain-link fence and abuts the church building. In addition to the 200 some marked graves, there are scores of graves marked only by rough cut granite stones serving as head and foot stone markers. As of 31 Oct 2020 the grounds are still well groomed and maintained.

The original New Hope Methodist Church ceased operations. The property, including the cemetery, was purchased 2019/2020 and a new church (name and denomination not yet known) is organizing to open soon. Unfortunately no records of the cemetery were passed on by the property Trustees as part of the sale. The new owner is seeking those records in hopes of knowing who is interned in the unmarked graves and what grave sites remain unused, and which sites were 'purchased' in the past by whom.
