Located on private property on Dogstreet Road, Keedysville, Washington County, Maryland. This cemetery was originally part of land owned by Moses Chapline, Sr.
Chapline lived in a large log house which was across the road from the cemetery. The house, built in the 1740s was destroyed by fire in 1901.
In 1892 Maria J. Liggett Dare placed a monument at the grave site of her great-great grandparents, Moses Chapline and Jeannette Caton Chapline, and their son Josiah Chapline. In 1902 Mrs. Dare published the book "Chaplines from Maryland and Virginia."
