The Hoke Farm Cemetery sits atop a ridge just feet from the Monroe & Greenbrier County line overlooking Carpender Creek below. Adjacent to it is "Boggs Hightop" and "Rich Mountain". There are at least 60 if not 70 or more people buried within this cemetery. Majority of these people cannot be identified to do the head and footstones being just rocks. However, several can be identified, and they are listed in the memorials. All identifiable headstones have been photographed and documented. There may be some that have fallen over and are covered in debris but would take extensive work to recover and restore the cemetery. It is known to be a fact that there was a community living atop this mountain in the early 1900's if not earlier to the 1920's, which including an operational sawmill. Florence I Hoke was born and raised here by her parents Abie Hoke and Ocia Ann Hoke"Winebrimmer" until her and her family left in 1922/1923 when she was 13.
