Leeds and Grenville United Counties
|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
Crosby Cemetery is located at Crosby, Ontario, Canada.
The original townsite was named "Singleton Corners" after William Singleton and his family, but later changed to Crosby, after the "Crosby Train Stop."
There is a Bell that stands at Crosby cemetery above the Plaque at right. I am unable to post my photo of the bell.
The inscription on the bell may have genealogical or historical significance.
The bell reads:
Presented by William E. Harding of Oneida, N.Y., to the Methodist Church, Singleton Corners, in remembrance of the many kindnesses received from the friends of his youth and the beloved companions and helpmates of his manhood. August, 1902.
