|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
The cemetery has almost no grave markers, as it has been abandoned for more than 50 years. It is one of the oldest in town, dating back to the middle 1800s. The few markers here are scattered and difficult to find, many have no visible etchings as they currently lie. Some can only be found by wooden stakes placed there by a Boy Scout cleanup effort a few years ago. The chained entry is on College Road and is accessible to pedestrians; however, there are no sidewalks along College Road and absolutely no parking. The entry with the small cemetery sign is accessible and there is space to park. However, the only way to find this is to enter the Oak Hill and St. Joseph Cemetery gate from East Pierce Street. The Green Valley Cemetery is in the northeast corner of St. Joseph Cemetery. From there it is a short walk down a wooded hillside to find the remaining markers.
