The Alter Jüdische Friedhof an der Oberstraße is the oldest preserved Jewish cemetery in Northern Germany. It was opened around 1550 and served until 1864, when the Jüdischer Friedhof An der Strangriede was opened. There are about 700 gravestones remaining here today.
