Godwin's Chapel.—In the 30's "Dickie" Chappel gave a lot and assisted in organizing the M. E. Church, which was named in his honor. About 1890 Col. Godwin donated liberally to a building fund, and the site was moved to the present location of Godwin's Chapel. It is on the Santa Fe Circuit, and is served by pastors from that place. (See Santa Fe M. E. Church.) -Century Review, 1805-1905, Maury County, Tennessee.
Cemetery is in excellent, well kept, condition. Many pioneers can be found in this cemetery.
