Originally owned by Samuel FULLER. A note in the Sherburne Co. Historical Center states that the land owned by Houghton was preowned by Samuel White Fuller and John Crawford.
The property might be at (or near) the junction of County Rd 68 & County Rd 14.
Contains 18 graves - only three are marked with stones, including Ely (either Eli Newell HOUGHTON - b. 1822 d. 1862 - or Eli Houghton - b. 1797 d. 1865 -, George FULLER (7 year old son of Samuel and Mary (HOUGHTON) FULLER (d. 1871), and Susan D (COOK) HOUGHTON (d. 1888).
Family records have 8 Fullers buried there:Samuel White Fuller, Eben E Fuller, George Fuller, Mary Suzanne Moore Fuller, James E Fuller, Samuel Channcy Fuller, Baby Girl Fuller, Rae Eugene Fuller.
Houghtons known to be buried there include: Eli Houghton, Eli Newell Houghton, and Susan Day Bell Cook Houghton.
Also buried there is Mary A. Houghton Fuller - a Houghton who married into the Fullers
A newspaper article (no name of date of copy) states the cemetery had "Two flag poles, partly decayed by the weather, mark the graves of the two soldiers. Newell HOUGHTON, who was killed during the Indian outbreak in New Ulm in 1862, and Eben FULLER, Civil War veteran." Eighteen graves are in this spot. Seems it is shared by the families of Fullers and Houghtons.
Another article in the Sherburne County Atlas states: 'Some Indians, who intermarried in the FULLER family, whose stones are the ones broken down, are also burried here."
