Cemetery notes and/or description:
The cemetery is in the Parisian suburb of St. Ouen, on the north side of the city, one kilometre from the Porte de Clignancourt. The older section, on the rue Adrien Lesesne, was opened in 1860, while larger newer section was opened in 1872. Together the two sections comprise 27 hectares (66.72 acres) in 48 divisions. Among the notables buried here are actors Marcelle Géniat, Mireille Balin, and Jean Tissier; tennis champion Suzanne Lenglen, humorist Alphonse Allais, composer Louis Garnie, harpist Lily Laskine, and painter Suzanne Valadon. There is also one Commonwealth War Grave here, a Royal Marine officer buried in Division 13.
