This Cemetery is one of the oldest serving a large area which includes many present day communities. Among the Pre-Civil War dates on Tombstones are veterans of the Mexican War, followed by Confederate and World War II veterans. The earliest decipherable burial date is 1855 although settlers came into the area in 1836.
