|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
This cemetery is the oldest extant cemetery in the Argenteuil (St. Andrews, Lachûte, Deux-Montagnes, Gore, Chatham, Rivière Rouge, Île Aux-Chats) area. It is the second largest cemetery in the area, surpassed in size only by Lachûte Protestant Cemetery.
Saint Andrews Protestant Cemetery is also referred to as Beech Ridge Cemetery (but, not to be confused with 'Beechridge Cemetery' in Sainte-Clotilde). In some early church records, it is also referred to as Carillion cemetery.
In 1999, the villages of Carillion, St. Andrews East (Saint-André-Est) and St. Andrews amalgamated together to form a new municipality called Saint-André-d'Argenteuil.
Find A Grave does not offer the former English language names for St. Andrews or St. Andrews East as choices for the birth or death locations - the present-day names Saint-André-d'Argenteuil (for St. Andrews) or Saint-André-Est (for St. Andrews East) should be used instead.
