|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
This small burial plot --- also sometimes known as Mayes Cemetery --- was located on a hill behind the Lincoln Creek Grange Hall near the unincorporated farming community of Galvin, about four miles north of Centralia, Washington. The area was logged off in the mid 1950s or early 1960s. There was no care taken to protect the few extant headstones during the logging process, and consequently the cemetery was completely destroyed, leaving no trace.
The list of interments in Lincoln Creek Cemetery was originally provided to volunteers from a Lewis County historical group by Rosalie (Webster) Bowman, who remembered the little burial plot from her youth. The Webster family settled in the Lincoln Creek area about 1877.
A small number of other burials are known to have taken place in the vicinity, but no record of them remains.
