Established in 1913. The land for the cemetery was donated by Johann Laxdal, an Icelander who farmed that quarter.

In the Rural Municipality of Swan Valley West

A part of the story of the town and its inhabitants from the early days of European settlement through roughly 1992 is told in the volume "Reflections - 1882-1992 A Community History of the Rural Municipality of Turtle Mountain"and in a related volume entitled "By the Old Mill Stream".
