Agudath Achim Cemetery
Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky, USA
Four of the five Jewish cemeteries in Louisville are in what is basically a cemetery complex off Preston Highway. Traveling south from downtown on Preston, the first entry point would be The Temple Cemetery, the middle entryway leads to Keneseth Israel, and the last entry point off Preston is Adath Jeshurun (the entry to Anshei Sfard is off Locust Lane, around the corner). Agudath Achim's cemetery is not in this "cemetery complex," but is right across Preston Highway from the other Jewish cemeteries.
Agudath Achim is a very small cemetery, with only about 140 graves. Most of the graves are in the front, close to Preston. However, there is a small area of graves in the back. Between the front sections and the back sections is a large grassy area (Section C, which is empty). There is a cul-de-suggest a correction driveway in the front. There is no other roadway so, to reach the back sections, walking across the grass is required. Most of the graves are located in Section A, which is the large cul-de-suggest a correction area in the front. However, Section A is not fully contained within that cul-de-suggest a correction. The front grassy area to the left (if you are facing the cemetery) of the middle section is still Section A, even though it would appear to be part of Section B.
