Norwood Young America
|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
On August 2nd 1937, Emil H. Mau presented land to the city of Young America for the purpose of a cemetery. The original land had been converted from a hay field. The Mau family planted trees and added lot markers to the land.
"This cemetery was just automatically named "The Mau Cemetery".
This cemetery adjoins the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery (old section) to it's immediate north. A thin strip of land slopes up from this city cemetery to that of St. John's. There are no identifiable markers which divide the two cemeterys.
