|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
Fairfield Cemetery was established in 1844 and maintained by Bath Township until 1981, when responsibility was taken over by the City of Fairborn. There are also two Catholic sections owned by the Church, but maintained by the City.
There is a cemetery committee, made up of a handful of volunteers and the Cemetery Sexton, who are in the process of cataloging all information and photographing all graves. Once this has been completed, photos and all available information will be uploaded to Find A Grave and various genealogy websites. The committee also hopes to provide section markers and detailed maps at the cemetery so graves will be easier to locate.
NOTE: The committee is seeking new members to help photograph and catalog all graves in Fairfield Cemetery. If you are interested, please contact Nora at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please put "Fairfield Cemetery" in the subject line. Thanks.
