|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
Established in the 1880s, the Sunne Lutheran Cemetery began as a burial place for early Swedish settlers (many from Sunne, Sweden) in Burleigh County, North Dakota. The cemetery was previously named "The Swedish Evangelical Lutheran Sunne Church Cemetery" and "Swedish Lutheran - No. 0079." It is sometimes referred to as "Still Cemetery at Slaughter" or "Slaughter Cemetery."
The church and cemetery sit adjacent to each other on the Southwest corner of Hwy 36 and 80st St NE, on the outskirts of Wilton, ND.
