This is an African American Cemetery
The Roberts Baptist Church was organized in 1872 by Rev. John Patton, in Brush Arbor. A log cabin was built to worship and was used for 29 years.
The church stands on land given by Elisha Hanson Roberts II. Elisha gave 2 acres of land and enough timber for the first framed church to be erected.
The church site was re-established in 1918.
The church and the cemetery are located on FM 2213 in San Augustine, Texas 75972.
