Cemetery notes and/or description:
The cemetery is about 2 miles down the road from the Sherrill's Inn and sits on the knoll of a small hill in the valley on private land. There is only one legible stone (no relation) and this small statue shown in photo for the cemetery. All the rest are field stones. At least the place is fenced off to keep the livestock out.

There is a monument to John Ashworth, Sr and John Ashworth, Jr in Fairview which give the birth and death of both of them. The monument mentions the Ashworth family cemetery being 1/4 mile away.
Just up a side road by the monument, there's a garden on the left side. Go through the garden, across a creek and up a steep hill. At the top of the hill, some of the neighbors built a fence around it and called it the Pioneer Cemetery, since they didn't know who was buried there. The stones were broken up and scattered, by age, erosion and cattle which have been pastured on the hill.

NOTE: Sherrill's Inn still has some of the original building where John and Nancy (Wood) Ashworth lived.
