George Flint Parker, Civil War veteran, donated five acres to Parker Township on October 6, 1919. The cemetery was platted on June 8, 1921. It was dedicated as Oak Hill Cemetery in July of 1921 which was notarized on July 30, 1921. The cemetery became known informally as "Parker Cemetery." On May 14, 1973, the Oak Hill Cemetery Board (Association) was formed under the jurisdiction of the Parker Township Board to provide improvements with Cora Goodrich Hoffstedt Wilson as Chair, Margie Gosch Riitters as Treasurer and Maxine Oothoudt Bjornoos as Secretary. By-laws were developed by the cemetery board and approved on December 11, 1987 by the Parker Township Board. On January 1, 1997, the Oak Hill Cemetery Board turned over the cemetery administration to the Parker Township Board.
The cemetery is located in the NE1/4 SE1/4 Section 12 Township 130 North Range 31 West.
