From Hesston, PA, follow Seven Points Road eastbound from State Route 26. Just before entrance to Raystown Lake, turn left on Baker Hollow Road and travel about three miles to the entrance to Suquehannock Campground. Enter campground and travel about two miles to a wooden gate on the left side of the road.
The road goes over a hill and there ae two 25 MPH speed limit signs. The wooden gate is nearly opposite the second speed limit sign.
There is a steel gate (number 7) about a half mile prior to the wooden gate.
There is a small clearing behind the gate and some space to park. Walk north from the gate down a Jeep trail for about 100 yards, past a low spot and up a slope. The Jeep Trail will turn to the left (West). Cemetery is on the right, near top of slope.
There are three rows of graves totaling about 13 graves.
First five graves near the Jeep trail are regular, rounded top headstones with visible inscriptions and have footstones.
Most other graves are just marked with rocks.
There is one other regular headstone for Margaret Reed and the base of one headstone adjacent to that grave.
There are three stones located slightly away from the other headstones. Two are likely headstones and the third likely represents a footstone, based upon their arrangement.
This cemetery survived the creation of the New Raystown Dam dedicated on June 6th, 1974.
Four hundred and seven other graves were relocated, mostly to Jacobs Church Cemetery in Hesston or Old Stone Cemetery just outside of Marklesburg, PA. Relocated graves are set apart from other graves in the aforementioned cemeteries.
