Cemetery notes and/or description:
The Black Israelite Church was founded in 1800's for the black community near the Little River Bottom around Sugar Loaf Mountain North of Gause TX. During the late 1800's the church split into Zion Hill Baptist which moved into Gause and the Mount Tabor Baptist Church which moved to the Two Mile Community East of Gause. The Gause Colored Cemetery (in 1980's renamed Peaceful Rest) was formed and the Long Family Cemetery in the Two Mile Community were also created in early 1900's as burials ended in the Black Israelite Church Cemetery, also known as "Gause Route 1 Cemetery" (on death certs) or the "Beaver Cemetery" for the near by Beaver Branch of the Little River.

The Cemetery is on private property now and abandoned. All graves are only marked with red rocks or cut stones, no inscriptions.
