|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
"Buried here are the descendants of Malcolm (McGorm) Blue (1700-1766) and his wife, Sarah Smith (1710-1812). Who came from Cantyre, Argyllshire, Scotland to Longstreet Community, NC in 1748."
DIRECTIONS: From Laurinburg take Lee's Mill Road (just north of Laurinburg, Lee's Mill Road forks to the right off US 401 N which goes to Wagram.)
If you come from Wagram south on US 401, come to Log Cabin Road on left, turn left, go to stop sign, turn left onto Lee's Mill Road.
Follow Lee's Mill Road until it makes a sharp right hand turn. DO NOT TURN, continue straight. The road becomes Blakely Road.
Continue on Blakely Road 0.45 mi from where Lee's Mill Road turns right.
Just before you reach the 0.45 mi point you will pass a mobile home park and Craig Lane on the right.
At the 0.45 mi point pull car onto right shoulder of the road. Across the road beyond the left shoulder is where the John Blue, Sr. home once stood.
At the 0.45 mi point you will be on the edge of a plowed field next to dense woods on your right. Walk into the field along the edge of the woods for a distance of 300 - 350 feet.
Turn right into the woods and walk approximately 40 yards. You might have to search right and left a little. The cemetery is fenced and was restored in the early 2000's.
