|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
Holy Trinity (also known as Clapham Parish Church) stood on this site in Rectory Grove prior to 1814, some time before 1285 the Church was St Mary's. By 1815 a new church had been built and opened, St Pauls, and the graveyard there after was used for burials by that church until 1855.
The new Holy Trinity Church built in 1776 is situated on Clapham Common north side but still used the Old Holy Trinity graveyard for burials until 1814.
Some of the memorial/effiges from old Holy Trinity are now housed in St.Pauls.
A Memorial Stone to the Clapham Sect, damaged in WW11, is on the south wall of Holy Trinity Clapham Common.
Plague victims and later Roundhead Soldiers killed in the Civil War battle for Battersea Marshes were buried in what is now Eden Community Garden, part of St.Paul's Churchyard.
