|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
Located on the old Vince Whitt Homeplace. Cemetery is also known as the Branham-Whitt Cemetery. Many years ago James Taylor Adams visited several cemeteries in the area of Wise County and made observations. He was at this cemetery on September 23, 1936. It was then called the Jim Venters Graveyard. He made the notation that this was truly a beautiful spot and one of the oldest burying grounds on the Pound. No one seems to know when the first grave was made here. Joseph Branham may have been the first person buried here. In this cemetery they are at least 13 earth rocks or more with no names upon them.
