Dr. Barber left for Denver this evening. Mrs. Barber has been visiting in Denver for the last few days. Mr. Kent was 52 years of age.
Thos. A. Kent was well known in Cheyenne and for years was one of our most prominent business men. He came to Cheyenne in 1867 and engaged in the wholesale liquor business, selling out to George Masten and engaging in the banking business. Mr. Kent was a heavy loser in the panic of 1893 and left for Colorado, where he engaged in the real estate business in which he was engaged at the time of his death.
He leaves a wife, two daughters, Mrs. Barber of this city and Mrs. Welsh, wife of Lieut. Welsh, and a son, Guy, now at West Point, to mourn his loss. These have the sympathy of all in the hour of their loss.
Up to the time of going to press no particulars in regard to the sad death have been received.
