Passenger on American Airlines Flight 77. A physician working on health-care in Washington, he had worked closely with former Surgeon General C. Everett Koop. He was a graduate of Marshall University in Huntington.

He was buried in Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington, West Virginia.

His name can also be found on Panel S-70 of the National September 11 Memorial in Manhattan, New York City, New York.
