Married to Virginia Ray for 52 years. Mr. Daywood owned several grocery stores in the Manor and Austin areas for over 35 years and settled in Manor, Texas on a ranch of 80+ acres raising cows, chickens, ducks,and geese. He served in the United States Army in World War II. While there he learned how to make furniture and made many pieces for his family. He left us after a courageous battle with cancer. He was preceeded in death by his son, Wayne,, and brother Mike Daywood.
He was also father to Richard Daywood Jr, and Terrye Diane Daywood-Shively
