Rosemeta was born at the Westcott family home on 39th Street in Savannah. Her parents were James Walker Laffitte and Meta Westcott Laffitte. She had 2 brother, Charles O'Bannon and Robert Walker, and a sister Jule L. Slade. In 1952 she married Garris F. Futch of Groveland, GA. She is survived by her daughters, Susan F. Moody and Juleta F. Brannen; 2 grandsons, Gray W. Moody, Sr. and Herman T. Moody and 4 great-grandchildren. Rosemeta lived in Savannah all her life. Rosemeta was well loved by all who knew her and is greatly missed by her family.
