Jazz musician. He played alto saxophone with Dizzy Gillespie's Big Band. As a teen in Denver, he chose to play saxophone after hearing Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie play Salt Peanuts. He toured throughout Europe with a US Army big band during the Korean War. After the war he settled in London where he managed a jazz club. Eventually he returned to Denver and played with Miles Davis, Billie Holliday, Duke Ellington and other jazz greats as they toured the area. In recent years, he could be found at Keith Music, a music store he owned and taught lessons at.
