Amanda E. Ackis has a CSA pension application on line in the GA archives virtual vault. She gives proof of marriage to James Septimus Ackis on Oct 16, 1875. He enlisted in April 1862 in Charleston S. C. with Brooks Artillery Regiment. He was captured at the Battle of Gettysburg, Pa remained in prison until the end of the war. He died on Nov. 3, 1897 in Savannah, GA.
