Margaret Gay Bradbury went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday January 5, 2014. Services to celebrate her life will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 2 pm at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home in Vivian, LA, officiated by Pastor Danny R. Moffett. Her family will receive visitors Tuesday, January 7, 2014 from 5:30 to 7:30 at the funeral home.

Gay was born December 6, 1947 in Madisonville, Texas to Robert and Margie Isbell. She was raised on her family's dairy farm the "ERN-MAR Swiss Farm" in Bedias, Texas. She actively worked the farm with her family, and participated in the raising and showing of Brown Swiss dairy cows. She won Grand Champion with her dairy cows at many fairs and livestock shows including the Texas State Fair and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. She was also the Grimes County Dairy Queen. Gay graduated Iola High School in 1965, moved to Houston and began her 47 year career with Halliburton shortly thereafter. She was employed with Fann Instrument Company a division of Halliburton at the time of her death. Gay married the love of her life and soul mate John Wayne Bradbury on November 2, 1968. They celebrated 25 years of marriage at the time of his death in 1993. Gay enjoyed many outdoor activities such as fishing and even deer hunting. She could grow a bountiful garden in the summer and had beautiful flower beds at her home. She enjoyed watching rodeos, as well as baseball. She and her Husband John made many fun trips to Las Vegas. She loved her family and the time spent together. She was a loving wife and mother, a fabulous Gammie, Caring daughter and sister, loving aunt and faithful friend. To many she was known as "Momma Gay". To know her was to love her and she touched many lives in her time with us.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years John Wayne Bradbury; her father Robert Ernest Isbell; maternal grandparents Bill and Lois Garrett; paternal grandparents Aaron and Lila Isbell.

Left to cherish her memory include her mother Margie Nell Isbell of Tomball, Texas, her daughter Lisa Renee Stewart and her husband Jay Stewart of Vivian, Louisiana; her grandchildren John Wallace Stewart and his wife Leah Rose Stewart; Matthew Ryan Stewart, Shelby Elizabeth Stewart, and Kayleigh Grace Stewart also known as Shuggie Bear. Her brother Pat Isbell and wife Sharon of Spring, Texas; Brother Tim Isbell and wife Evette of Crosby Texas; Sister Julie Raney and her husband Glenn of Spring, Texas. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, Kimberly Patino and her husband Jay of Spring, Texas; Brad Bradbury and wife Denisa of Madisonville, Texas, Carroll Fox and husband Phillip of Madisonville, Texas, Aaron Isbell of Crosby, Texas; Lindsey Isbell of Crosby, Texas; Zachary Raney of Spring, Texas; Hannah Raney of Spring, Texas. Great nieces Isabella and Olivia Patino of Spring, Texas, and great nephew Vann Isbell of Crosby, Texas.

A large extended family and host of friends will share in remembering such wonderful woman. Her family would like to thank Dr. Walker May and his nurse Paula Hobbs Walker for the exceptional care given to Momma Gay. Also thank you to the entire staff of North Caddo Medical Clinic and North Caddo Medical Center. During the end of her illness, St. Joseph Hospice of Shreveport, Louisiana provided care and support enabling her to be comfortable and at peace. Many nurses and personnel came to care for her; she shared a special bond with her nurse Tee White. Honorary pallbearers are Pat Isbell, Tim Isbell, Glenn Raney, Jason Patino, John Stewart, Matthew Stewart and Monty Pepper.
