Bethel Memorial Park
Pennsauken, Camden County, New Jersey, USA
in 1844, a group of farmers gathered together and organized the Bethel Methodist Episcopal Church. The churchyard was used as a cemetery and many early Pennsauken families were laid to rest there, including the Horners, Wilkins, Amens, Rudderows, Evaula and Beidemans. When the church was moved to Camden (located today at 1841 Phillips Street), T. Newlin Wilkins purchased the ground and built Bethel Memorial Park next to the old cemetery. The first burial of which there is a record was in 1847. At one time it was owned by the National Cemetery Association. The present owners at the Bethel Cemetery Association.
