The Looney-Shields Cemetery is on the Israel Looney homeplace between Hickory Cove and Stanley Valley, and is used by both families. Israel Looney, (son of Absalom David) and his wife, Willie (Wid) Ann Shields, and several members of the Shield's family are buried here. Also their daughter, Mrs. Florence Bray (Florence Looney married Fide Bray). This farm is now owned by the grandson, Phipps Bray, and is know as the "Phipps Bray Place". This cemetery has been beautified and remodeled into a show place and the family cemetery is in keeping with its surroundings. Mrs. Looney's mother was Hester A. Phipps.

At some point in time during the Bray ownership of the property, the cemetery name changed from the Looney-Shields Cemetery to the Bray Cemetery.
