The first John Antrim came to America from Ireland in 1676. His descendent, John Antrim, was born in 1829 and married in 1849. It was about that time that he and his bride came to Iowa and settled near the present town of Randolph. They had nine children, three of whom died early in life. These and many other Antrims were reburied in the Randolph Cemetery. Gravestone thieves have carried many of the early stones from this burial ground. The wooden crosses that once stood to mark the graves have been lost to time.
This cemetery is located east of Randolph. It is approximately 1.2 miles east on route 184, then north .5 miles and east .6 miles. It is located on the north side of the road, on a hilltop. The cemetery has been abandoned for years. Some care is taken of it through scything an burning. The approximate area is around 135' north by 300' west. The ground is fenced and the area appears to have been scythed off and burned over.
