Arborvitae Cemetery
Also known as:  Three Cornered Cemetery

In 1835, 1836, and finally in 1837 the town of Lincoln gave consideration to the acquisition of a third Burying Ground. On April 3, 1837, the town meeting gave approval to the acquisition of this site. The committee report, which was approved, noted that the land could be acquired for $67.50 from its owner, Henry Rice. Later that year they began laying out the lots.

There are some burials prior to 1837 as they were re-interred here after the opening of the cemetery.

This cemetery is referred to as GR2 Triangle Cemetery in the "Vital Records of Lincoln Massachusetts to the end of the year 1850".

The Massachusetts Historical Commission refers to this cemetery in MACRIS as LIN.802 Arbor Vitae Cemetery - Triangular Cemetery.
