Located one block east of Saint John's Church (just off Highway 35E), this cemetery is the second oldest cemetery in the state of Minnesota. The oldest section (near the front gate) contains the graves of over one hundred members of pioneer families. The land for the cemetery was donated in 1851 by Abraham Lambert who, along with his wife and children, is buried in the cemetery. The cemetery was officially dedicated in 1855.
The cemetery also contains a special section dedicated to Saint John's Parish Infant Interment Ministry. A graveside service and burial space are provided at no cost to parents who experience an infant loss at nearby Saint John's Hospital. A memorial monument, funded by parishioner donations, stands in the middle of this section.
