Cemetery was established in 1902 and consists of 1 acre of land donated by Even & Bergit H. Norjore. The cemetery is gated with a fence around. The site held the Norwegian Hauge Synode Church building but it is no longer present. The name Opdal/Opdahl may have come from the village Opdal, Norway. The Wammer's who came from Opdal, Norway were one of the organizers for the church & cemetery and are buried here.
