Search Willow Creek Cemetery:

Willow Creek Cemetery is on the western side of Willow Creek. The town of Willow began around 1837 when settler Claude Nicholas Pillot, laid down his farm. There were at least three churches: Baptist, Brethren and Methodist. People living along Willow Creek would attend Sunday services. In about 1870 the little settlement experienced a boom due to the arrival of immigrants. The ancestry of Willow was predominately English, French and Scottish and is reflected by the names in the cemetery. By 1905, Willow's school had forty-one students and one teacher.

The Willow Creek Cemetery seems to be all that is left today to remind us of the little town, which once existed near Willow Creek.
