Fairview Presbyterian Church Cemetery

Built on land granted in lieu of payment to soldiers of the Revolutionary War, Fairview was founded by three Peden brothers, James Nesbit and James Alexander in 1786. The church was named in honor of a church in County Antrim, Ireland where the six men lived before coming to America in 1773. It is the oldest Presbyterian church in Greenville County and is on the National Register of Historic Places. The cemetery contains the resting places of several Revolutionary War soldiers and forty six Confederate soldiers.
