This cemetery was first called the Richmond Cemetery after Robert Gunion Richmond Sr., who donated the land for the cemetery. It was later called the Blackfork Cemetery.

You travel west of Y-City , Arkansas on Highway 270/59. Drive pass state line for Arkansas & Oklahoma and from the state line, travel west on Highway 270/59 until you get to Haw Creek Road. It will be on the right (north) side of the Highway. Haw Creek Road is across the highway from Page Baptist Church and the Blackfork Wilderness Sign. Drive north on Haw Creek Road toward Big Creek Baptist church. About 6 miles from Highway 270/59, there is a small store on the right side of the road and there is a fork in the road. You should take the right fork and after about 1/4 mile, turn right (east). It is about 4 miles to the end of the pavement. That is the Arkansas state line. The cemetery is about ½ mile into Arkansas on the right side of the road.
