Notes: This cemetery is located on Craighead Road and has no sign. A key must be obtained from the church office at 101 Sugar Creek Road West to gain entrance. This is the first cemetery the church used. Cemetery #3 is located across from the church on Sugar Creek Road West and Cemetery #2 is located on North Tryon and East Alexander St.

Cemetery is locked; you must call Sugaw Creek Presbyterian Church to ask for a tour. A church member MUST accompany you to the grounds. There are very few stones left standing and the ones that have survived are almost entirely unreadable due to age, general wear and tear, vandalism, or Lichen growth. If there is not a photo, then the grave marker likely no longer exists.
