Hookstown Presbyterian Church was organized in 1854 by members of the Mill Creek congregation who desired a more convienent place of worship. According to the book "History of Beaver County" published in 1888, the church burnt down in 1885 but was rebuilt in 1886. The church no longer exists and only the cemetery located on a hill adjacent to Route 168 remains. The pastors of Hookstown Presbyterian Church were Rev. R.S. Morton 1854-63; W.M. White, 1866-70; George Shaffer, 1873-74; D.L. Dickey, 1876-81; and R.S. Morton, 1882-85.
