Members of the Bishop and Cox families are buried here in this small family cemetery, along with some people connected by marriage.

Bishop Cemetery, Bolivar, Hardeman County, Tennessee. Take I-125 South from Bolivar. Just past Hanna's Gas Station and Store, turn left on Peavine Road. At third church (Porter's Creek Church) and before Lacy Road take fork to left. Between 2nd and third houses on the left, the ones with brown wood siding and house with brick siding, there is a metal pasture gate. Take the gate into the pasture and into the woods. The dirt road forks. Both forks led to the cemetery; however, the left road leads directly to the gate. The Cox graves appear to have been vandalized. Many are still intact. The cemetery is unkempt.
