The Eggers buried in this cemetery are the descendants of Andrew Egger Sr., who lived in Chester County South Carolina as early as 1789. He passed away there in the early 1800s. His son, Andrew Egger Jr., is buried in the town of Lourys South Carolina. Andrew Egger Jr's son was Moses Bond Egger, born on 11 Nov 1878 in Chester County South Carolina. Moses Bond Egger married Elizabeth Minter on 1 Jul 1820. Their children were: Elmira L; Luisa M; Tillitha Emeline; Jesse Jackson, who later changed his name to Jesse Edward; Andrew; Ellis Bond; Eliza; and Luisa. After his wife passed away, Moses married Liddie Harris. In 1845, they were recorded in the Census for Green County, Tennessee. After James L Egger was born, they moved to Mississippi and then to Lee County, Texas in 1875. He moved his family to Wimberley three years later.

The Blackwells buried in this cemetery are the descendants of Robert Blackwell of Blackwell Island, New York. George G. Blackwell was born in New York and moved to Texas in 1837. He got a land grant in 1842 for 640 acres of land in Wimberley, Texas. George Blackwell was the first man buried in Wimberley. George and his wife, Sarah, were the parents of Josiah H. Blackwell and Virginia Amanda Blackwell. Josiah H. married Mary F. Rinard and she is buried in Jacobs Well Cemetery.

Mr. Spillar donated the land for this cemetery after Moses Bond Egger was thrown from his horse, broke his leg, and froze to death in that location. Moses Egger was the first person to be buried in the cemetery. To be buried in this cemetery, one must be a member of the association or have relatives buried there. The cemetery is located three miles west of Wimberley, Texas in Hays County, on Ranch Road 2325. The cemetery is up that road one forth of a mile on the right side of the road.
