Lockport Cemetery is located in Lockport, close to the Williams/Fulton County line on County Road 21-N and County Road 22-75.

The first mention of the cemetery in land deeds was 20 April 1846, when Abraham Gish sold the surrounding land to Joseph P. Gentit, "excepting the cemetery and the school." On 17 May 1866, Francis Solier, a partner in Louys and Solier and later a county official, sold the land to Samuel Brownawell, again "excepting the cemetery."

Brownawell was elected clerk, and preparations were made to draw a map of, and stake off, the yard into lots." No record of the layout of the cemetery prior to that time has been found.

On 30 April 1888 an addition to the cemetery was sold by Edmond Thomas to Lockport Cemetery Assoc. There are later additions in 1899, 1908 and 1927.

There has been vandalism over the years and many stones are damaged, down or missing.
